About ten years ago a back injury brought me to yoga. Not only did yoga heal my backpain but I experienced healing on a much deeper level. The word Yoga comes from the sanscrit root "yuj" which means to yoke or to connect. Through the powerful practices of yoga I started to see myself as connected to the planet and all its holy inhabitants - human beings, animal beings, tree beings etc. I strongly believe that yoga is incredibly important during times where we are suffering from a great disconnection. Through yoga one starts to realize that there is no otherness but only oneness of being. As a consequence it becomes impossible to consciously hurt others since an injury to one is an injury to all. Change has to start with each one of us, we are the ones we have been waiting for.
Lokah samasta sukhino bhavantu - May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.
A back injury brought me to Yoga but now Yoga is bringing me around the world. I feel a strong urge to spread the yogic practices around the globe and to serve a higher intention. 2010 will be a year of travelling and with this blog I would like to share my experiences with you. Also you will always find updates about where I'm going to be teaching or assisting great Yoga teachers. Hopefully our paths will cross at some point somewhere...but anyways, internally always connected.
I'm forever thankful for the love and compassion of my teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life who share there wisdom so genereously. I also thank my beloved teacher Yogeswari for her endless support and for always believing in me. Love & light to Lady Ruth, Gabriela Bozic, Rima Rabbath & Cassandra Rigney for always providing me with great insights and possibilities to grow. I'm endlessly greateful for all the beautiful souls who have crossed and keep enlightening my path. Namaste!
